Shauna Stewart -
Creative Director & Founder
Velvet Interiors is headed up by Shauna Stewart. With over twenty years in the interior design industry she brings wealth of experience to her projects and clients. As founder and lead designer, she personally oversees the design for every project alongside her team of designers.
Her favourite projects come when she works hand-in-hand with her clients, not just for them. She gets to know each one on a personal level, really getting under the skin on how they live their life, what their values are and how they prioritise their life, to create their perfect home or commercial space.
She is equally comfortable on a building site or developing beautiful interior decoration schemes with perfect textiles. She is hands on has an obsessive eye for detail and involved in the delivery of all projects.

Rachael brings 15 years of interior design knowledge and experience to Velvet Interiors.
Having started her career in design as a student with Shauna many years ago, she in an invaluable part of what we do.
Creatively she loves mixing pattern and colour and her signature style is classic modern. Her combined flair and measured practical approach means she delivers amazing homes consistently to clients.

Lisa is a creative with an innate eye for design and styling. She worked in interiors while at University studying Science and then pursued science as a career.
Fast forward a few years, and she made the move back to Interior Design where her passion really lies. Her eye for detail, colour and the tiny details in a room are second to none.
She is the person in the studio most likely to ruminate on a textural detail for days. She brings warmth and understanding to each of our clients and is the first point of contact for the retail store. She has a passion for seeking out new and exciting brands and designers to bring to Velvet Interiors. A career in design was inevitable.

Julie comes to Velvet Interiors with long career in Management for Laura Ashley under her belt.
She talks a retail language we don’t understand and has an inate eye for the perfect merchandising scheme. She can also wield a drill - she is a powerhouse.
She works tirelessly to keep our shop and sanity intact and bring years of wisdom to our team.

Susan brings 20 years of expertise in luxury kitchen and cabinetry to Velvet Interiors. Experienced in both design, manufacture and installation, she has worked on luxury homes all over the UK and abroad. An excellent eye for space planning with exquisite taste, she is our go to source for all steer on a niche supplier or a technical detail.
Classic is her happy place, but she is equally confident with a modern home design.
